Looking Back:

As part of our math program this year, along with
following our school wide Jump Math program, in
grade 5/6, we also complete 'Monday Math

Problem-Solving'. This is an opportunity for
students to work in small groups to tackle a
deep level thinking, multi-step math problem.

In writer's workshop, students are completing a 'My Special Place' writing piece through the use of imagery.

Our federal election Student Vote is coming up soon, in grade 6 social studies, we have been busy prepping for that!

Welcome Back!

Welcome to Our Grade 5/6 Class Blog!

I'm excited to be working with all the students this year as well as getting to know all of our families.  It was wonderful to see familiar faces as well as meet new families at the Muffin Mixer.

During the past couple of weeks, we've been getting familiar with classroom routines and expectations and building a strong community within the classroom.

The Grade 5/6s also received their patrol training and began patrolling last week!

Here are a few pictures from the last couple of weeks at school:

                                                 I Am Art!
