Looking Back:

 Monday Math Problem Solving!

This week, with being half way through our novel, we took a break from reading and completed mini projects to showcase our understanding of the book so far.

For our novel study, midway projects, some students created a new book cover for our novel using Google Keep!

In grade 6 social studies, we continued with our work with the Federal Elections, this week we looked at the importance of debates as we get ready to view the big debate coming up next week with the prospective candidates.

In art, we created optical illusion art! We had so much fun completing this activity!

In music, we are working on a music appreciation project. Students are learning about various composers and their style of music.

In gym, we made hula huts!

In grade 6 social studies, Students are busy putting together posters for all of the party leaders running in the federal elections. They highlighted important points raised by each party leader and the action plan being used by each candidate.

In grade 5 social studies, students are constructing a map based off a country they've created.  They are incorporating all the components of a map- title, legend, landforms, cities, compass, among others.

In writer's workshop, we are writing about 'My Special Place'. Students have been focusing on sensory writing.
